Why we’re often wrong about the world and things are better than you might think

In Factfulness, Hans Rosling and family try to correct many of the mistaken beliefs that many of us have about the world. I have been wanting to read this book for some time and I am glad that I now have.

The overall message is that the world is in a much better shape than we often belief. That doesn’t mean that there are no challenges, and Rosling himself names five global risjs that we should worry about (including a global pandemic, climate change and financial collapse – the book was published in 2018).

Overall, Rosling’s point is not that we should be hopelessly optimistic, but rather that we should use facts and data to help us understand how the world really is.
