Review of Working with the Thais: A guide to managing in Thailand by Holmes & Tangtongtavy

Despite its age, Working with the Thais is a good practical guide to the cross-cultural differences that Westerners face working in Thailand. The book references much of the literature on cultural psychology and places it in the practical world of communicating, leading and working in Thailand.

Full of great examples, case studies, illustrations and humour, this is an easy read that gave me fresh insights into Thailand and the history and meaning behind many common Thai phrases. The book is short and easy to read, and one that I am sure to come back to soon.
